“And he believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.” — Genesis 15:6

Devotional: Abraham's story reminds us that faith is the doorway into God's promises. God spoke a word over Abraham's life and promised blessings that seemed impossible. He promised descendants when Abraham had no children. He promised a future that Abraham could not yet see.

What made Abraham remarkable was not that he had all the answers. What made him remarkable was that he believed God.

Faith does not require complete understanding. Faith requires trust. Abraham left his homeland without knowing exactly where he was going. He trusted the One who called him. Every step forward was a declaration that God's Word was more reliable than what he could see with his natural eyes.

The same principle applies to us today. God's promises often arrive before the evidence appears. Healing may be promised before symptoms disappear. Provision may be promised before the breakthrough arrives. Restoration may be promised before circumstances change.

Faith says, “God has spoken, therefore I will trust Him.”

When God speaks through His Word, He invites us to partner with Him through faith. Faith is not pretending. Faith is confidence in the character of God. It is choosing to believe His promises even when circumstances have not yet caught up.

God is still looking for people who will trust Him enough to take the next step.

Prayer: Father, strengthen my faith today. Help me trust Your Word above my circumstances. Give me courage to obey You even when I cannot see the entire path ahead. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Practical Challenge: Identify one promise from Scripture that relates to your current situation. Write it down and read it aloud three times today.
