Devotional: A true disciple is not only transformed by Jesus but also helps others follow Jesus.
Throughout Scripture, we see that discipleship is more than attending church services or gaining biblical knowledge. It is a life surrendered to Christ, a life that reflects His character and advances His kingdom.
Jesus did not call us simply to be converts. He called us to be disciples. He called us to live in relationship with Him, to walk in obedience, and to reproduce what He has done in us.
The sermon reminds us that revival is not built on titles, positions, or recognition. It is built on ordinary believers who are fully surrendered to Jesus. The harvest is ready, and God desires to use every believer to impact others.
A disciple understands that life is no longer about personal ambition. It becomes about pleasing the Lord. As Ephesians 5:10 says, “Carefully determine what pleases the Lord.”
The world teaches us to pursue our own desires. Jesus teaches us to pursue His. The world says, “Build your kingdom.” Jesus says, “Seek first My kingdom.”
When Christ becomes your greatest desire, making disciples becomes a natural overflow of your relationship with Him. People will see His love, His peace, and His power at work in your life.
The identity of a disciple is ultimately found at the feet of Jesus—and from that place of intimacy, disciples are sent into the world to make more disciples.
Prayer: Father, make me a true disciple of Jesus Christ. Let my life reflect Your character and Your love. Use me to influence others for Your kingdom. Help me live with eternity in view and faithfully fulfill the mission You have given me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Practical Challenge: Pray for one person today who needs Jesus. Reach out to them with encouragement, prayer, or an invitation to church. Ask God to use you to help them take one step closer to Christ.
