Rejoice Again
Scripture: “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!”- Philippians 4:4
Paul directs our hearts toward the Lord as the source of rejoicing. Circumstances change, but we can return again and again to the goodness of God.
Pastor Kevin encouraged us to remember the blessings we can continually rejoice in: God’s love, His Word, our salvation, His faithfulness, the Holy Spirit, and the family of believers He has placed around us.
These truths give gratitude somewhere solid to stand. When a day feels overwhelming, we can remember that Jesus has made a way for us to know the Father. When direction seems unclear, we can thank God that His Word still guides us. When we feel alone, we can remember His promise to remain with us.
Rejoicing becomes a rhythm of returning our attention to Him. We may need to return many times throughout the day. A frustrating moment comes, and we remember His patience. A concern rises, and we remember His faithfulness. Weariness settles in, and we remember that His strength is available.
This rhythm does not require polished words or a perfect setting. A quiet “Thank You, Jesus” can become a sincere expression of faith in the middle of ordinary life.
As gratitude grows, we become more aware of the grace already surrounding us. Our hearts gain strength to keep trusting, loving, and serving.
There is something about God’s goodness you can remember today. Begin there. Let thanksgiving lead you back to the joy of knowing Him.
Prayer: Father, teach me to rejoice in You throughout my day. Remind me of Your love, salvation, and faithfulness. Let gratitude grow in my heart, and let Your joy strengthen my life. In Jesus’ name, amen.
