Pour Out Your Love

Scripture: “She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.” — Mark 14:8

When I read about the woman who poured expensive perfume over Jesus, I am reminded that wholehearted devotion will always cost us something. She carried something valuable into that house, but Jesus was worth more. She broke the jar and freely poured out what she had.

Others questioned her offering. They calculated its cost and called it wasteful. Jesus received it as something beautiful.

I want to encourage you to consider how you approach the Lord. We can become so focused on what we need Him to do that we overlook the privilege of simply loving Him. He welcomes our requests, and He deserves our affection, gratitude, and attention.

You do not need a platform or a ministry title to minister to Jesus. Begin right where you are. Open your heart. Tell Him that He is worthy. Offer Him the time you have been guarding and the concerns you have been carrying.

Your offering may look ordinary to someone else: a quiet song in your kitchen, tears during prayer, or uninterrupted moments with your Bible open. When these expressions come from a sincere heart, they become beautiful offerings of love.

Today, I encourage you to spend time with Jesus without rushing through your requests. Let your first words express devotion. Remember His mercy. Thank Him for the cross. Tell Him why you love Him.

As we minister to the Lord, the Holy Spirit shapes our hearts and prepares us to carry His love to others.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are worthy of my wholehearted devotion. Forgive me for rushing past opportunities to love You. Holy Spirit, quiet my distractions and help me offer my time, attention, and affection freely. Let my life become a beautiful offering that honors You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
