Let Praise Lead the Way
Scripture: “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.” — Psalm 100:4
Before you rehearse everything that is wrong, I encourage you to remember who God is. He is faithful. He is merciful. He is powerful. He has sustained you through days you once wondered how you would survive.
Praise gives voice to those truths.
In Psalm 100, we are invited to approach the Lord with thanksgiving and praise. We enter acknowledging His goodness. Our circumstances may still need His intervention, but our hearts can already recognize His faithfulness.
I know there are moments when praise flows easily and moments when we must choose it while our emotions catch up. That choice expresses faith. We acknowledge that God remains worthy while we wait for an answer.
You can bring Him honest tears and sincere praise in the same moment. You can say, “Lord, this hurts, and I trust You. I do not understand everything, and I know You are good.”
Today, begin by thanking Him for something specific. Thank Him for salvation, daily provision, strength, or the people He has placed beside you. Speak His goodness aloud. Let your own ears hear you declare that Jesus is Lord.
As we practice praise, our attention turns toward the One who holds us. Our situation may demand attention, but it does not have to determine every word we speak.
I encourage you to carry praise into your home, workplace, and conversations. Someone near you may need the reminder your testimony provides: God is still at work, and His mercy has not run out.
Prayer: Father, thank You for Your unfailing goodness. Put a fresh song of praise in my heart. Help me remember Your faithfulness when concerns compete for my attention. Let my words honor You and encourage those around me. Today, I choose to bless Your name. In Jesus’ name, amen.
