Led by the Spirit, Not by Feelings
Scripture: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105
Feelings are real, but they were never meant to become the lord of your life. Emotions can change from one moment to another, but God’s Word remains forever. As a child of God, you are not called to be driven by what you feel; you are called to be led by the Holy Spirit.
Sometimes an opportunity looks perfect in the natural. It may bring recognition, financial gain, or influence, yet the Spirit of God may say, “No.” At another time, God may lead you toward something that appears small, inconvenient, or unnoticed. The natural mind may question it, but the renewed heart recognizes the voice of the Lord and responds in obedience.
Your responsibility is not to dictate God’s will; it is to discern His will and align yourself with it. Faith means walking in the light of His Word, even when the path does not make sense to your natural understanding. Jesus has already defeated the enemy. Therefore, following Him will always lead you into victory, although the journey may not look the way you expected.
As the Word fills your heart, your decisions become increasingly aligned with God’s desires. You begin to recognize which relationships to pursue, which doors to enter, and which opportunities to release. Obedience becomes more valuable than comfort or applause.
The greatest satisfaction is not found in being noticed or even in seeing extraordinary results. It is found in knowing that you were faithful to what God asked you to do. There is no greater peace than knowing you are walking in the perfect will of God.
Prayer: Holy Spirit, teach me to recognize and obey Your voice. Help me trust Your Word more than my changing emotions or natural reasoning. Give me courage to say yes when You say yes and no when You say no. May the deepest desire of my heart be to remain faithful to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
