Leave a Legacy of Faith
Scripture: “A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, loving favor rather than silver and gold.” — Proverbs 22:1
A person of faith gives all the glory to God. When others recognize what has been accomplished through your life, remember that you are simply a vessel. God may use your hands, your voice, your gifts, and your obedience, but the power and glory belong to Him.
Faith also believes that all things are possible with God. This does not mean pursuing every impressive opportunity or copying what someone else has been called to do. True faith remains focused upon God’s specific assignment. Greatness is not measured by the size of the platform but by faithfulness to the purpose God has given you.
The goal is to complete your race and leave behind a good name—a name that causes others to remember the goodness of God. When your family thinks of you, may they remember your prayers, your obedience, and the ways God worked through your life. When your community speaks of you, may your testimony point them toward Jesus.
You were not created to leave behind a curse, a trail of brokenness, or a reputation centered upon yourself. You were created to leave a blessing and a legacy of faith. Your children and those influenced by your life should be able to tell stories of God’s faithfulness because they watched you trust Him.
Keep following the Lord. Keep believing His Word. Keep walking in love and giving Him the glory. As you walk by faith, God will place the honor of His name upon your life, and your testimony will continue speaking to generations yet to come.
Prayer: Father, let my life bring glory to You alone. Keep me faithful to the assignment You have given me and help me finish my race well. May my family and community remember Your goodness through my life. Let me leave a good name, a blessing, and a legacy of faith that points generations to Jesus. Amen.
