Faith Is in Your Heart and Mouth
Scripture: “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes…he will have whatever he says.” — Mark 11:23
Faith has a location: it lives in your heart and is expressed through your mouth. What you truly believe will eventually influence how you speak. A heart filled with faith speaks victory, hope, healing, and the promises of God.
God promised Abram that he would become the father of many nations. Years passed, circumstances grew more difficult, and the promise seemed increasingly impossible. Yet God changed Abram’s name to Abraham—“father of many nations.” Every time his name was spoken, the promise was being declared over him. God changed the words surrounding Abraham before the fulfillment became visible.
Sometimes we become identified with what we have endured. We say, “I am always sick,” “I never have enough,” “Nothing ever works for me,” or “I will never move forward.” Without realizing it, we allow our struggle to become our identity.
But your condition is not your identity. You belong to God. You are not the defeated; you are more than a conqueror through Christ. You are not abandoned; you are a child of the Father. You are not defined by fear, pain, failure, or lack. You are defined by what God has spoken over your life.
Allow the Word to change your thoughts, your confession, and your expectations. Believe it in your heart, speak it with your mouth, and walk according to it. Faith-filled words do not deny the circumstances—they declare that God’s truth is greater.
Prayer: Lord, place Your Word deeply within my heart and teach me to speak in agreement with You. Break every false identity I have accepted because of past struggles. Let my words declare Your truth, Your promises, and Your victory. I receive the identity You have given me through Jesus Christ. Amen.
