You Are the One Who Must Show Up
Scripture: “Thus Israel saw the great work which the LORD had done in Egypt; so the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD and His servant Moses.”-Exodus 14:31
God often begins with one person who is willing to show up.
He called Moses to confront Pharaoh, lead His people, and stand at the edge of the sea. Moses did not have every answer, but he continued seeking God and obeying His direction. Because one man showed up in faith, an entire nation witnessed the glory of God.
You may feel unqualified for the responsibility before you. You may wonder how to become the spouse, parent, leader, provider, minister, or disciple God has called you to be. God is not asking you to possess every answer today. He is asking you to be faithful.
Show up to hear His voice. Show up in prayer. Show up for your family. Show up in the place where He has assigned you. When you need wisdom, He will teach you. When you need provision, He will sustain you. When you need a miracle, the God of miracles will answer.
Your obedience is not only about you. God’s blessing upon your life is intended to flow into your children, your children’s children, your community, and the work of your hands. There are people connected to your willingness to remain faithful.
You may feel like you are standing alone today, but when God’s glory is revealed through your perseverance, others will find courage to walk with you. Your testimony will declare that human ability did not produce the victory—the Lord did.
You are the one God has chosen for this moment. Do not quit. A family, a generation, and perhaps even a nation are counting on your obedience.
Just show up in faith. God will take you the rest of the way.
Prayer: Holy Spirit, give me the courage and strength to show up wherever You have called me. I surrender my feelings of inadequacy and place my confidence in Your anointing. Use my faithfulness to bring freedom to my family and hope to future generations. May my life reveal Your glory and cause others to believe. I will not quit, because You are with me and victory belongs to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
