The Good Fight of Faith
Scripture: “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called.”- 1 Timothy 6:12
Every believer is called to battle. We battle for our families, our health, our minds, our marriages, our ministries, and the purposes God has placed within us. We would love to receive every promise without resistance, but Scripture never promises a life without conflict. Instead, God promises to be with us in the fight.
It is called the good fight because when we fight in faith, we do not fight alone—and we do not fight for an uncertain outcome. Our confidence rests in the One who has already overcome the world.
The enemy wants to convince you to surrender before the battle begins. He will whisper that change is too difficult, the opposition is too strong, or you have already failed too many times. His goal is to keep you from taking the ground God has placed before you.
But if you are still breathing, God still has ground for you to take.
Showing up is sometimes the greatest act of warfare. It means praying when you feel discouraged, obeying when you do not understand, loving when you have been hurt, and continuing when everything inside you wants to quit. Showing up says, “I may not have all the answers, but I trust my God.”
Your strength does not come from pretending that the battle is easy. It comes from knowing who stands with you. You are not fighting in your own ability; you are fighting in the strength of the Lord.
Do not run from the place where God desires to reveal His glory. Take your position. Lift your eyes. Keep believing. Your responsibility is to show up in faith; God will do what only He can do.
Prayer: Lord, strengthen me to fight the good fight of faith. When I feel tired or discouraged, remind me that You are with me. Give me courage to face every area I have avoided and grace to keep moving forward. I choose to show up, trust Your strength, and believe that You will reveal Your glory through my life. In Jesus’ name, amen.
