Here I Am, Lord
Scripture: “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”- Romans 12:1
“Here I am, Lord. Use me.” These simple words express a heart that is ready to surrender. They move us beyond admiring what God does and into offering our lives for His purposes.
Presenting yourself to the Lord means placing your time, abilities, plans, and decisions in His hands. You are inviting Him to lead you, even when His direction interrupts your routine or takes you beyond what feels comfortable.
Pastor Kevin reminded us that we have been saved to serve. Serving begins with a willing heart and often takes shape through ordinary acts of faithfulness. Helping in church, encouraging someone who feels forgotten, or making time to pray with a hurting friend can become meaningful expressions of surrender.
Sometimes we wait for a significant assignment while overlooking the people already in front of us. Yet the Lord can teach us faithfulness through the responsibilities we have today. Availability matters in the quiet moments as much as it does in public ministry.
You do not need to know every detail of God’s plan before offering yourself to Him. You can trust His wisdom one step at a time. As He leads, respond with obedience and allow Him to develop your heart.
Your life belongs to the One who gave His life for you. There is deep purpose in placing it before Him and saying, “Lord, I am Yours.”
Prayer: Lord, here I am. I offer You my time, my plans, and my abilities. Teach me to serve faithfully and recognize the opportunities You place before me. Let my life honor You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
