Growing in Active Faith

Scripture: “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7

God has given every person a measure of faith. We exercise it in ordinary ways every day, often without realizing it. There is also saving faith—the faith awakened in our hearts when we hear the gospel, believe in Jesus Christ, and receive salvation. But God does not want our faith to remain inactive after we are saved. He desires for it to become a living, working force in our lives.

Active faith believes God’s Word, stands upon His promises, and orders life according to what He has said. It trusts that God is alive, His Word is true, and His ways are dependable. Active faith does not wait until everything is visible or understandable before obeying. It continues believing when circumstances offer no natural reason for confidence.

Faith is like a muscle: it becomes stronger when it is exercised. Every time you trust God, obey His Word, pray for your family, or believe Him to meet someone else’s need, your faith is being strengthened. Even when your own needs are met, you can continue exercising faith by believing God to make you a blessing to others.

God wants your faith to keep moving. Believe Him for your family’s salvation, your children’s future, and His purpose for your life. There is nothing impossible with God and nothing too difficult for Him. Keep using the faith He has placed within you.

Prayer: Father, thank You for giving me faith. Teach me to walk by faith and not by what I see. Strengthen my confidence in Your Word and help me continually trust You. Use my life to bring salvation, encouragement, and blessing to others. In Jesus’ name, amen.
