Gifts That Bless Others
Scripture: “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all.”- 1 Corinthians 12:7
The Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts with people in mind. His gifts help, strengthen, and minister to others. When we understand their purpose, our desire to be used by God becomes rooted in love.
Pastor Kevin compared this to a delivery person bringing a package. The delivery person carries something intended for someone else. Likewise, when the Holy Spirit works through us, we are entrusted with something that can bless another person.
This changes how we approach ministry. We begin asking, “Lord, who needs Your encouragement? Who needs prayer? How can I serve the person You have placed before me?” Our attention turns toward people and their needs.
You may feel uncertain about spiritual gifts or wonder how God could work through you. Begin by drawing near to Him. Read His Word, spend time in prayer, and remain willing to respond to His leading. The Holy Spirit distributes His gifts according to His will, and we can trust His wisdom.
There are hurting people in our homes, workplaces, churches, and communities. Some need comfort. Others need wisdom, healing, or renewed hope. We can ask the Lord to work through us while remembering that He is the source of every gift.
Let love shape your desire for the things of the Spirit. As you surrender, allow God to make your life a blessing. What He places in your hands may be an answer to someone else’s prayer.
Prayer: Holy Spirit, teach me to desire Your gifts with a heart of love. Make me sensitive to the needs of others and willing to follow Your leading. Use my life to strengthen and encourage people. In Jesus’ name, amen.
