God Stands Between You and the Enemy

Scripture:  “And the Angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them… So it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel.”-Exodus 14:19–20

As Pharaoh’s army approached, the presence of God moved behind Israel and stood between His people and their enemy. The pillar that had led them now became their protection. It brought light to Israel while bringing darkness and confusion to the Egyptians.

God did not merely tell His people where to go; He guarded them as they went.

There are battles from which only God can protect you. You may not see everything happening in the spiritual realm, but the Lord knows every plan formed against your life. He knows the attacks against your heart, peace, faith, family, and calling. Nothing escapes His attention.

The enemy may come near, but he cannot cross the boundary established by God.

The Lord knows how to protect your heart from bitterness, your mind from torment, your peace from chaos, and your love from becoming cold. He can give you light in a place that brings confusion to the enemy. While you are moving forward, God is watching what is behind you.

This does not mean that you will never feel pressure. Israel could hear the army and see the sea, but God’s presence stood faithfully between them and destruction. Likewise, you may be aware of the battle, but you must become even more aware of your Protector.

Do not give the enemy more attention than you give the presence of God. The Lord is your shield, defender, and refuge. Keep following the light He provides. He will protect you while He prepares the way before you.

What was sent to destroy you will become the setting in which the world sees that the Lord fights for His people.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for standing between me and every attack of the enemy. Protect my heart, mind, peace, love, family, and calling. Help me become more conscious of Your presence than of the pressure surrounding me. Lead me with Your light and confuse every plan formed against Your purpose. I declare that You are my shield, defender, and faithful Protector. In Jesus’ name, amen.
