What You Really Need Is Him

Scripture: “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” — Jeremiah 29:13

It is possible to receive something you wanted and still feel an ache inside. The opportunity opens. The finances improve. A difficult situation changes. You are grateful, yet you discover that your soul needs something deeper.

In the sermon, Pastor Kevin returns to a powerful confession: whatever we think we need, our deepest need is Jesus.

The man at the Beautiful Gate asked Peter and John for money. Through the name of Jesus, he received healing and entered the temple walking, leaping, and praising God. His story reminds us that the Lord sees beyond our immediate requests.

Bring your practical needs to your Father. He cares about your family, your provision, your health, and your decisions. As you pray, also make room to seek Him simply because you love Him.

Daily fellowship with Jesus nourishes a place in your heart that circumstances cannot satisfy. His Word steadies your thoughts. His presence renews your joy. The Holy Spirit strengthens you to face what is ahead.

You can begin right where you are. Read a passage slowly. Tell the Lord what is on your heart. Thank Him for His faithfulness. Worship Him before you have an answer.

This relationship is for every day. You can speak with Him throughout ordinary moments and difficult ones alike.

Today, let this prayer become the direction of your heart: “Jesus, I need You. Teach me to walk closely with You.”

Prayer: Father, thank You for caring about every part of my life. Draw my heart into deeper fellowship with You. Jesus, become the center of my attention and affection. Holy Spirit, awaken a daily hunger for Your Word and presence. Teach me to seek You wholeheartedly. In Jesus’ name, amen.
