“He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself…” — 1 Corinthians 14:4

Devotional: Just as a phone battery must be recharged to continue functioning, believers must stay spiritually filled and refreshed through the Holy Spirit. Many Christians are spiritually exhausted because they are trying to pour out without first being filled up.

God never intended His people to live spiritually drained. The Holy Spirit strengthens, refreshes, and edifies believers. Through prayer, worship, time in the Word, and communion with God, our spirits are renewed and empowered.

Jesus often withdrew to spend time with the Father. If the Son of God valued spiritual communion, how much more should we? Intimacy with God is not optional for believers who desire to walk in spiritual strength.

One of the enemy’s greatest strategies is distraction. He wants believers spiritually empty, overwhelmed, and disconnected from God’s presence. But when we intentionally seek the Lord, the Holy Spirit renews our strength and sharpens our spiritual sensitivity.

The Spirit-filled life is not about emotional hype. It is about daily dependence upon God. There are moments where the Holy Spirit moves powerfully, but there is also the daily discipline of remaining connected to Him.

The Lord wants to strengthen weary hearts today. He wants to revive your passion, renew your faith, and recharge your spirit. You do not have to remain spiritually depleted. The Holy Spirit is ready to refresh you as you draw near to Him.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, refresh my heart today. Forgive me for trying to live in my own strength. Fill me again with Your presence and renew my passion for Jesus. Help me prioritize prayer, worship, and time in Your Word. Strengthen me so I can walk faithfully in all You have called me to do. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Practical Challenge: Set aside at least 15 uninterrupted minutes today to pray, worship, and sit quietly before the Lord without distractions.
