“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law... that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus.” — Galatians 3:13-14

Devotional: The Old Testament covenant pointed toward something greater. Every sacrifice, every promise, and every act of God's faithfulness ultimately pointed to Jesus Christ.

When God established covenant with Abraham, He took responsibility for fulfilling it. Generations later, Jesus became the ultimate fulfillment of that covenant. Through His death and resurrection, He opened the door for every believer to enter into God's family.

The blessings promised to Abraham are now available through faith in Christ. We are no longer separated from God. We are redeemed, forgiven, adopted, and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

The covenant we have in Christ is not based on human effort. It is based on His finished work. Jesus paid the price we could never pay. He carried the curse so we could receive the blessing. He shed His blood so we could experience reconciliation with God.

The Holy Spirit now lives within every believer as the guarantee of God's covenant promises. His presence reminds us that God has not forgotten us and never will.

Because of Jesus, you are not trying to gain God's favor. You already have access to His grace. You are not striving to become accepted. You are accepted in Christ.

This covenant is not earned. It is received by faith.

Prayer: Jesus, thank You for securing a better covenant through Your sacrifice. Thank You for redeeming me and making me part of God's family. Help me live confidently in all that You have provided. In Your name, Amen.

Practical Challenge: Take time today to read Galatians 3:13-14 slowly. Thank Jesus for each blessing that His sacrifice has made available to you.
